Major Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced escalating attacks in recent weeks

Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while residents in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered interruptions to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Moscow has increased assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and applying restrictions," mentioned in a online statement.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen projectiles attacked energy facilities, characterizing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were striving to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by local officials.

Local officials said the metropolitan region endured heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child lost their life and multiple civilians were hurt.

The attacks succeed evenings of air raids in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
